A Marvelous Mess #38 and Features!!!

We're trudging into November and the end of fall. I've been working on getting some Harvest/Thanksgiving projects out....did you get a chance to see my Ombre Pallet
Some really fun projects at the party this week. And, a lot of food....boy did that all look tasty!! This is totally the time of year for baking and having the nice warm smell of freshly made bread, a nice hot cocoa.....k, I'm hungry. :-)

On to my fave's:

Silver Leaf Wine Bottle from My Covered Bridge. Totally cool. I've never tried silver leaf before.
Frozen Peanut Butter Pie (of YUM) from Screaming Sardine.
Colonial Williamsburg Gingerbread Cookies from The Traveling Spoon.

And, the project I'm going to feature on my sidebar is.....

Christmas Trees from Creative Passage. I am just loving the colors and textures of those trees!!

Shutterfly Giveaway!! Need some Holiday Cards??

In the past, I have made my Holiday cards by hand. I love to do it, but it can be a pin in the fa-tooch. You know what I mean? That's why I was really happy to try out Shutterfly for my Christmas cards last year. I got to customize my card with my own photo and choose from a myriad of different (and can I just say *adorable*) templates. Like this one:
Love this Christmas Card. It's kind of got a South American feel to it. That might just be me.
And, by the by, that is definitely NOT my family in the photo. :-) We clean up nice, but not that *perfect*. And, I'm proud of it......or the name of my blog isn't Marvelously Messy.
They've got other great themes too for a variety of cards. Aren't these baby announcements the sweetest??
Another fun option you can do for the holidays is make a photo book. I've done this before with great success: I made a book of our yearly trip to Myrtle Beach for the Munchkins grandparents. I was really pleased with the way it turned out!!
So what are you going to do for your Christmas Cards this year??

You can find Shutterfly in these places:

Personally, I think Shutterfly is fantastic!! Would you like a chance to win some Christmas cards??

Thanksgiving Harvest Pallet Ombre

Am I the only crafty blogger out there scratching their head, wondering what to make for Thanksgiving? For some reason, though I LOVE the holiday itself, I have a hard time coming up with projects about it. So, this year I've decided to start off with some decorations for the house, because I don't really have any for Thanksgiving. Besides the Pilgrim Man, Woman, and Turkey I made last year, of course. :-) But those are small. This project was decidedly bigger.

I happened to have this rolling kitchen cart that was in fairly rough condition (found it at a yard sale....surprise, surprise) and it has a couple of pallet-type shelves in it. This was one of them. I just painted them in a gradation of Thanksgiving/Harvest-y colors. What do you think?

It's a step in the right direction, I think!!
You gotta love pallets. And, I know the creative world does!! Have you seen my other pallet?crate projects??
