Mason Jar Snow Scene

I just had to try on of the mason jar snow globes I've been seeing on Pinterest and the rest of the blog world......

I happened to have some vintage mason jars and some polymer clay. I bought some bottle brush trees at A. C. Moore and some glitter snow. I shaped the clay to fit around the tree in the base of the mason jars  and then hardened it in that shape. I painted the glitter snow on the hardened clay and let it dry. Then I placed the tree (with glue on it) and the snow in the base of the jar and that was that. Easy peasy!!!!

I love the simplicity of it and the way the glass makes it shine.

I shared this post at the following funky linky parties:

  5. I included your weekend linky on a page I’ve put together devoted to hops, challenges, and memes for every day of the week, but I don't see one this week. Have you stopped this as a regular feature? If so, I'll remove the listing from that page. Please let me know via email at suzannenroth at gmail dot com.

  10. Use an oil based paint marker Choose a design or price to write on the jar. Markers are great. Takes a few minutes to dry.
