A Marvelous Mess #11 Features!!!

Ooo, boy I am late on these features this week. But, I have an excuse.....I was the host of a baby shower on Saturday (which I'll be posting about once I find my camera!!) and I was caught up in the busyness of being a hostess. I'm here now, right?? *pant, pant*
Here are the projects I chose:

For humor, these Wookie Wearables from Sew Can Do are spot on:
I can hear Han, "Laugh it up fuzzball....."  :-D
These really made my day.

Shealynn's Faerie Shoppe made these beautiful rosette rings and has a great tutorial to share:

From It's Always a Party At The Parkers, there is a very useful tutorial on Chocolate Covered Oreos:

And....

The project I'm going to feature on my sidebar for a week:

Outdoor Chandeliers from Turning A House into a Home!! This is one of those projects that I look at and *know* that I will be making that craft very soon. It's so funky and cute all at the same time!! Love it.

If I featured you in this post, please grab a button and flaunt it accordingly!! ;-)

See you at the party tonight!!

A Marvelous Mess #11

Homemade Baby Shower Card

(Don't forget to link your projects up to my Marvelous Mess party....each week I'll pick one project to feature on my sidebar!!)

I'm hosting a baby shower in a week!! I've been scrounging around looking for ideas on decorations. This card above is one that I created myself. The clothes on the line represent the soon-to-be Dad, Mom, and Baby brother.....and the new onesie on the line is for the little girl they are expecting.

To make this card, I bought some blank ivory colored cards and envelopes and some scrapbook paper with two different coordinating sides. I cute out lots of large and small overalls, skirts, and onesies. I used hemp rope for the clothes line. Yellow inked stamps for the sun and flowers and yellow pearl glue for the flower centers. Silver stamp ink for the clouds. A green fabric marker for the flower stems.  All the separate pieces were hot glued into place.

This shower is going to be a yellow themed occasion. I am planning on lots of tissue paper yellow pom poms and flowers........and perhaps a buttercup themed cake?? Or maybe make some cake pops?? Can you tell that I am a last minute kind of lady? :-)

I shared this post at these lovely parties (check them out, you'll be inspired!!):
