Crepe Paper Cherry Blossoms
(Don't forget to link up to my Marvelous Mess party....I will be picking one project to feature onmy sidebar for a week!!)
Another really fun craft for kiddos and adults alike is making cherry blossoms from paper. I chose crepe paper for this project mostly because I couldn't find any pink tissue paper.....but I've decided it's great for texture too. :-)
Another really fun craft for kiddos and adults alike is making cherry blossoms from paper. I chose crepe paper for this project mostly because I couldn't find any pink tissue paper.....but I've decided it's great for texture too. :-)
To make these you need:
Pink crepe paper (cut into small +medium circles)
Tree Branch (I used a birch branch for the delicateness of the twigs)
Tacky Glue
~ Take a circle of crepe paper and pinch it around the center. Do the same with another circle.
~Put a dot of glue on the branch tip that you are going to put the blossom on and sandwich it between the two pinched circles. Repeat. And, repeat.....over and over until the branch is covered. Voila!!
I was inspired to do this from Martha Stewart
Her tutorial and blossoms are a bit more high tech.....but they turn out very beautiful.

A Marvelous Mess #8 Features!!!!
Another fantastic week of A Marvelous Mess!! The perfect send-off for my vacation to the south!! We'll be leaving in the morning and I usually do my features post on Thursday but, I'm going to get it out early today (one less thing for me to have to think about while on vacation. ) :-) Here were some of my favorites from this week:
A His and Hers Quilt from the Q and the U. What a cool idea!! I know my hubby and I have a hard time agreeing on home decor....this is the perfect solution. Riel is a superb quilter. I promise you'll be tickled pink by all her work. She also has some fun tutorials to check out.
WIne Cork Artwork from the The V Spot. I am in love with this quote, the scroll letters, and the use of wine corks. I just love it. Period.
Lilybug Designs has a great tutorial for adorable Easter Basket Liners!!!!
And the crafty post I'm going to link up on my sidebar for a week......
Canning Jar with Shade from the Pumpkin Pie Painter. This blogstress has the most wonderful sense of style!! I love her vintage-y and quirky pieces of art. :-)
Thanks so much to you all for linking up to my party.....If I featured you in this post, be sure to grab a button below!! See ya'll next week!!
