A Marvelous Mess: Winter Walk!!!!

I am totally being crafty right now. But, I'm just not blogging about it. I haven't the foggiest idea why....I guess I just want it to myself right now. I *did* however just get a new Nikon camera and took some fun pictures in the woods today while we got some exercise. The light wasn't fantastic, but the stream we were near had some great ice formations..... and Buddy kept us laughing with his antics. He wanted to grab any stick (from twig size to tree size) and he wouldn't let up. At one point he saw a burl on a tree and was convinced he needed to GET IT..... without much success. :-)

Chloe definitely didn't get why he needed that burl so very much.
They are both snoozing right now. Chloe's in her kennel with some loud snoring, all snuggled in her blanket. Buddy is attempting to steal the couch from me, and will groan from time to time (we suspect because his paws might be too dry and getting a little cracked.....or I'm making too much noise, which is entirely possible).
I hope you've had a lovely weekend!!!!

  1. Love the picture of the dogs climbing the tree :) I've got a cat that brings in all his 'friends' that he catches outside, alive and well ... I wonder if he thinks they will be safer to play with INSIDE?? Anyways, had a *mouse* (not really what it was) that got away from me/him and I had traps set everywhere fro that thing ... still managed to get into the bathroom trash can and die ... thankfully ... but it was still 24 hours before I found him and yup, that smell was starting to come around ... hope mother nature does it's think quickly for you (once had an exterminator tell me that it only last for 48 hours or so before nature takes over ... don't ask what he meant, basically the cycle of life ... ick)

    1. Thanks for the comment!!! I'm going to have to disagree with the exterminator on this one.....this mouse has definitely passed the 48 hours mark. We're going on two weeks now. Maybe it's a rat? With the amount of smell, you'd think it was a capybara.(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/b6/Wet-capyvara-in-Brazil.jpg/220px-Wet-capyvara-in-Brazil.jpg) YUUUUUUUUUCCCK. :-) Someone recommended unscented gel crystal candles to suck up the smell, I've never even heard of them, but I'm going to do my best to find something. Yuck. YUCK.
